A Little weekend trip to SLC

The Family and I decided that we were going to go on a long road trip this weekend, and go nowhere at all. We left from our house and went to the Utah Capitol Building. We then went to the outlet malls in Park City to buy Eddy some winter clothes. Then we were hoping that we would be able to get over to the Ogden Valley to see the Eden Hot Air Ballon Festival. We made it to the first two places and got our goals accomplished. However we did not get over to Eden until it was dark, and the ballons had all come down. We only got pictures at the Capitol. Here is the outside of the Utah Capitol. It was recently updated, and remodeled so we thought it would be a great time to go down and see how it turned out.

This is Eddy sitting at the feet of the Utah's first Govenor and second President of the LDS Church Brigham Young. Right after we took these pics, another couple came up to him and made their kids all pose around him. They stole our idea. Eddy needed to take a break so we sat him in the guards chair outside of the State's Supreme Court. He was not good at keeping people out of the court, but he looked good in the chair.
Eddy also has a new trick of standing up where ever he can. This is at the House of Representivites Hall.

The real reason for the trip to the capitol was to see the Declaration of Independence. We didn't realize there would be over a three hour wait so we snuck upstairs and used the zoom on the camera to get a good look. Betsy didn't want to buy the camera with the jabillion times zoom, but she had never seen what it could do before.
